Despite using Image Skincare Vital C for 8 weeks straight, I still update this review regularly!
What a surprise that I would still be using the products years later! With Image you simply can’t go wrong!
Image Skincare may not be well known to you because until about 2016, you could only buy their products from spas, high end salons, or doctors’ offices.
They are now available for purchase on their website and on Amazon – but make sure to make your purchase from their official page. Fake versions are available from third-party distributors at substantially reduced prices.
What Attracted Me to Image Skincare?
Luckily, my sister Katie McCaskill, Owner and Operative of Hair and Makeup of the Palm Beaches, is a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist who received her training at the Palm Beach Academy of Health and Beauty in Image Skincare.
The Image Skincare brand is a professional skin care brand based in West Palm Beach, Florida offering professional skincare products that are paraben-free and higher in active ingredients.
I am in love with the Image Skincare Vital C line – and I haven’t tried one that I haven’t loved!
What I Needed to Know About Image Skincare Vital C
Due to my sensitive, dry, and pink skin, my sister recommended Image Skincare Vital C for me.
It turns out that I have rosacea of the eyes as well as facial rosacea (oh joy!). I don’t have rosacea, but I do have rosacea of the eyes.
In addition to playing beach volleyball, I also spend a lot of time in the sun, so I’m constantly protecting myself from the sun (using SPF), removing dirt and sunscreen from my skin, rehydrating it, and repairing any sun damage (dark spots) I may have incurred.
Since my first experience with micro-dermabrasion had been stressful, I also wanted something soothing. The top layer of dead skin is removed with a diamond-crystal tip attached to a vacuum, in this deep exfoliation. My skin is now pink as a result.
As I go along, I will add some notes about other Image products I’ve tried along with Vital C…
Since Image Skincare didn’t yet offer the Vital C Cleanser, I primarily used the Image Skincare The Max Cleanser.
I also tried the Ageless Total Facial Cleanser with glycolic once my skin had healed (but not before the four week mark). This exfoliates really well but you shouldn’t use this after treatment because it contains AHAs.
About Image Skincare Vital C
As the name implies, Image Skincare’s Vital C Skin Care line is bursting with antioxidants and boasts a delicious citrus scent.
Suitable for all skin types, from dry/dehydrated to sensitive/rosacea to sun-burnt/sun damaged and post-treatment skin such as oily/acne and Eczema.
In addition to its rich blend of natural botanicals, Vital C contains antioxidants for optimum skin nutrition and protection, as well as soothing and healthy benefits for the skin.
Eventually, I was able to get my hands on all 8 Vital C products, and Vitamin C has incredible skin benefits, so let’s get started!
Vita C Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum
This is my absolute favorite product in the Vital C line – the Vital C Hydrating Serum! Even just this one ingredient alone would be a great addition to nearly anyone’s skin care routine. A serum contains the most concentrated ingredients, so avoid skipping this step!
Upon first application, I was surprised at how silky the Vital C Hydrating Serum feels, as most serums feel more liquid.
This serum contains a concentrated 30% blend of oil-soluble Vitamin C that provides the highest bioavailability to target visible signs of skin damage caused by environmental factors.
The formula of this product contains hyaluronic acid, vitamin A and E, green tea and Meadowsweet, both of which are anti-inflammatory. It soothed my red, irritated skin admirably, and it gave it much-needed moisture. I used it immediately following microdermabrasion.
Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum with Vital C feels great. I appreciate that it comes in a pump, which ensures that the ingredients stay stable, and I adore how it smells — it smells like freshly squeezed orange juice. After using this serum, I noticed that redness would subside fairly quickly, and my skin would be moisturized and bright – it helped lighten dark spots.
The Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme
An anti-oxidant moisturizer that hydrates and repairs skin, Vital C Hydrating Repair Crème. By far the best moisturizer I’ve ever tried.
As one of my top 3 anti-aging creams, I think it deserves to be on my list.
Among its benefits are daily anti-aging benefits and cellular renewal, as it contains Vitamins A, C, and E.
This cream has the consistency you would expect – it is rich and emollient, which will quench the thirst of dehydrated, dry skin.
In addition to the light, fresh scent of the Anti-Aging Serum, the Hydrating Repair Cream has a pleasant citrus smell.
Applying one of the Vital C serums, waiting a few minutes, then applying the cream, I cleanse my face. Whether you’re in need of hydration, repair, or want to reduce redness, this is a great combination.
When I used both lines together, I never felt greasy. Smooth, fresh-faced, and perky! Absorbs rapidly and leaves the skin feeling smooth and fresh!
Besides the Iluma Intense Brightening Cream, I have also been using a few other products. In addition to lightening ingredients (as well as trying some other Image products), I also wanted to fight against some dark spots.
In the case of dry skin or rosacea, the Iluma is not as hydrating as the Vital C line. The Iluma line may be a better choice if your main concern is age spots or hyperpigmentation, but both options will lighten the skin!
